Quick Alarms

Previous Home Up

There are two classes of Quick Alarms: predefined and custom.
While there are active Quick Alarms, the taskbar tip will display the information about them:

Predefined Quick Alarms are available from 5-60 minutes in steps of five minutes and from 2-8 hours each hour. Once time is up, character will announce it by saying what time interval has expired and playing a (user specifiable) animation.
HINT: Select an animation that has loud sound effects and is eye-catching.

Custom Quick Alarms are far more flexible. User defines them in the following dialog (found under Tools->Quick Alarms->New... or on the taskbar menu):

Name: A unique name by which this custom alarm will be distinguished.
Minutes: The number of minutes to countdown.
Save for later: Designates whether to keep this alarm for later use.
NOTE: If alarm is to be saved it must have a name specified. If there is no name then countdown will start immediately.
Phrase: Specifies how character will announce the alarm.
Play: Specifies which animation character will play.
Execute: Specifies which command to execute when time expires.
