Speech Tags

Speech output tags let users modify character's spoken output. For example, you can change the speed and pitch of spoken output. All tags begin and end with a backslash ('\'). Tags are case insensitive, but spaces within the tag do matter. 

Name Syntax Description
Character \Chr=string\ Sets the voice character. String can be "Monotone" to specify a monotone voice. It can also be "Whisper" or "Normal".
Context \Ctx=string\ Sets the speech context. String can be "Address," which refers to addresses or phone numbers. It can be "E-mail". It can also be "Unknown", referring to the default setting.
Emphasis \emp\ Emphasizes the next word spoken.
Map \Map="spoken"="balloon"\ Lets you make a character say one thing and display text for something else. Spoken represents audible output and balloon represents what appears in the word balloon.
Pause \Pau=number\ Pauses speech. Number (10 to 2550) is the number of milliseconds to pause.
Pitch \Pit=number\ Sets the pitch. Number (50 to 400) is the pitch in hertz.
Speed \Spd=number\ Sets the speed of speech output. Number (50 to 250) is the words per minute.
Volume \Vol=number\ Sets the speaking volume. Number (0 to 65535) is the volume.
